November QA Hangout With Sarah
On this hangout, Sarah answered lots of questions, including questions from Dan & Dennis, members whose stores made their first sale & are now moving onto the scaling up phase – congratulations! Here are some of the questions answered in this hangout session.
Stripe or Shopify payments – which should I use?
While running Facebook ads, are there any metrics I should look for to identify high-potential products?
Should I order a test product to create video ads, or is this not necessary?
I want to get started, but every time I try, I become crippled with the fear of losing money – how can I overcome this?
Plus lots more! Thank you to everyone who attended live & to those that also submitted questions in-advance, I hope I was able to help you.

Optional Apps Discussed During the Q/A Hangout:
- Click here for the app that makes free just-pay-shipping easier.
- Click here for the app that lets you add videos to your image slider (free trial).
Advanced Free Just-Pay-Shipping Rules
If you follow the free-just-pay-shipping rules in this video in The Dropship Club, it works great – UNLESS customers add more than 1 item to their cart. If they add more than 1 item, it will mess it up. To avoid this happening, set up these advanced shipping rules (I’ll be updating that video with these advanced shipping rules).
Set up these shipping rates:
0.1 – $9.95
0.2 – $19.99
0.3 – $29.85
0.4 – $39.80
0.5 – $49.75
And have each free + shipping item set to weigh 0.1 pounds. It’s very rare that a customer orders more than 5 of a free + shipping item.
Next, set each other item in your store to weigh 2 pounds, and create these weight-based shipping options:
2.0 – Free
2.1 – $9.95
2.2 – $19.99
2.3 – $29.85
2.4 – $39.80
2.5 – $49.75
This way if a customer orders a non-free-just-pay-shipping-item AND 1-5 free-just-pay-shipping items, they’ll be charged accordingly. Then just continue it like that:
4.0 – Free
4.1 – $9.95
4.2 – $19.99
4.3 – $29.85
4.4 – $39.80
4.5 – $49.75
6.0 – Free
6.1 – $9.95
Etc.
